North Patterson was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. North graduated from Northridge High School later obtaining his bachelor and law degree from the University of Alabama.

North is a dedicated trial attorney with a proven track record of advocacy and commitment to justice. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law in just 2.5 years, where he was honored with the George P. Taylor Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and inducted into the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society and Order of the Barristers, recognizing his exceptional skills in the courtroom.

As a testament to his talent and determination, North also secured victory at the American Association of Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition Southeast Regional Championship during his second year of law school, further solidifying his reputation as a formidable advocate.

Throughout his legal education, North served on staff as State Representative to U.S. Senator Richard Shelby. This experience not only enriched his understanding of the legislative process but also deepened his commitment to serving the community.

North’s practical experience is extensive, having worked in both the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s Office and the 24th Circuit Public Defender’s Office. These roles allowed him to gain invaluable insights into the criminal justice system from both prosecutorial and defense perspectives. As a third-year law student, North tried his first case, obtaining a verdict for his client. Since then, he has tried multiple cases to verdict, showcasing his ability to effectively represent clients and navigate complex legal challenges.

With a passion for trial advocacy and a steadfast dedication to his clients, North Patterson is committed to achieving justice and making a positive impact in the lives of those he represents.

North and his wife, Madison, live in Tuscaloosa and have one daughter. Their family attends Capstone Church.
